San Gemini
To a visitor’s eyes, the town has a medieval castle feature, inserted in
an hold establishment of Roman origin. The XVIIIth century Porta Romana,
today’s entrance to the town, leads to a maze of streets, steps, archways and
towers still perfectly preserved, bringing the most careful tourist in an
ancient and suggestive atmosphere. There is a large number of romanesque,
gothic, neoclassical churches which surely deserve a visit, but don’t forget
to explore Geolab, an interactive geologic Museum-Laboratory open recently,
wich gives the visitor the opportunity of an interesting experience inside
the Earth mysteries. |

The charming atmosphere of an
old mansion.
It is a quiet, refined chateau, set in the heart of the
Renaissance town of Sangemini (Terni) and built c. 1730 by the Santacroce
Princes. The hotel shows precious features of great artistic relevance, such
as the 18th century Hall of Frescoes. |

The hotel has 28 rooms each
with private bathroom, telephone and cable TV, and 4 suites placed inside the
embattled towers overlooking the city walls. All rooms are furnished with the
greatest care which enhances the peculiarity of the building. The nearby

meeting-place: the elegant conference-room may actually contain a maximum of
60 people. The autentic Umbrian gastronomic traditions play the leading role
in the hotel restaurant: within the frescoed restaurant rooms, our guests will
enjoy the simplicity and the tastiness of the traditional local country food,
rich of mushrooms, truffles, olive oil and many other delicacies. The
Restaurant has large banquet halls (capacity of 30-130 people) but the hotel
also gives its guests the opportunity to arrange summer wedding ceremonies in
the lovely and enchanting atmosphere of the surrounding park. |
